Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White on her role on the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress for a Drama Series. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice in The Practice, as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She was enthralled by acting at Preparatory school before moving to Ohio with her family in the later in the 1970s. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years before trying her hand at TV as well as film roles. Anna's debut role was Arden who played the role of Arden in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. In the following years, she was an actor in small number of television shows as well as films like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 1990's when she appeared in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008 she was also cast in the role of Skyler for the show Breaking Bad. She also starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn is also a part of the stage in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Also, she appeared in Numbered Days, a show consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often built around Walter White's love affair with his wife Skyler. The strained relationship and ultimate demise mirror the tragic end to Walter White.
